The "TubeHead": a 12V tube headphone amplifier / tube preamplifier.

Here's the newest product in the series of the tube amplifiers working with only 12 Volts DC power supply.
The "TubeHead" is a wonderful Tube headphone amp / Tube preamplifier.

TubeHead-w mean woody, its enclosure is drilled from solid rare wood, you can choose olive wood or italian walnut wood.

The TubeHead is very small, the board is only 8x5 cm, yet it contains a complete stereo headphone amplifier with inputs, outputs, power supply connector, and volume control. More important, the TubeHead works at 12V DC , so it can be powered with a [standard cheap power supply]. It can be used as a portable headphone amp (can be powered with a 12V battery), or as a real tube preamp. The output buffers are capable of sourcing 200 mA, so any headphone will be an easy load, and if you use it as a preamp the input inpedance of the next device will not be a problem.
Again, a good starting point with tubes, 12V are not dangerous at all, yet the sound is "Tube like" as in devices costing hundred of times.
The TubeHead is the best companion for for your Ipod or other portable player. OK, you have an MP3 library that you can always bring with you ... but you can also have good tube sound!
